Urologist Surgeon Spyros Kampantais graduated from the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) and completed his Residency in Surgical Urology in 2014 at the 1st Urology Department of AUTH.
He pursued his postgraduate training in Endourology, Laparoscopic Urology and Gynecological Urology at the Urology Department of the University Hospital of South Manchester (USHM), United Kingdom. At the same time, he received the title of Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU) with Grade 9/9.
In 2016, he worked as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at the Essex Tertiary Cancer Care Centers in Great Britain (Southend University Hospital and Mid Essex Broomfield Hospital) specializing in Robotic and Laparoscopic Surgery for Prostate, Bladder and Renal Cancer. At the same time he developed the specialized HoLEP technique (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate) for the treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia. In 2019, he returned to Greece as a Urologist Surgeon working in the private healthcare sector.
He is a member of Greek and international scientific societies, a PhD candidate at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and has a rich research work with over 30 papers published in international journals.
